Welcome to the Official Website of Dave "the Hammer" Schultz
"You were and are the perfect guest speaker and we are so happy that we had
you at our event. I have had endless comments about how much everyone enjoyed your speech and how pleased they were when you took the time to talk, sign autographs and have photos taken with our
Warner Community Hockey Society
Dave "The Hammer" Schultz is best known as the left winger who wore #8 and regularly dropped the gloves for the Philadelphia Flyers, winning two Stanley Cups with them in 1973-74 and 1974-75. Dave was inducted into the Flyers Hall of Fame on November 16, 2009.
Schultz was praised for his physical and intense style of play, which earned him nearly as much time in the penalty box as it did attention on the ice. He still holds the record for the most penalty minutes in one season, with his time in the sin bin clocking in at 472 minutes. Fans of The Hammer and the '75 Flyers might also remember him for his recording "The Penalty Box" (recording coming soon!). For more information, facts, and stories, click over to the About Dave Schultz page.
Dave Schultz is now utilizing his hockey experiences in motivational speeches, and can be booked as a speaker for any occasion. When you book The Hammer as a speaker for your event, your audience will hear about how a quiet boy from a small town in Western Canada came to be one of the best and most respected enforcers in the NHL. You'll learn how he achieved his goals and lived every athlete's dream of winning a championship through the power of visualization, positive thinking, and perseverance. His stories about being a two-time Stanley Cup champion illustrate these values and other positive messages:
- The importance of being a team player
- Setting and achieving personal goals
- Adapting to change
- Using visualization to increase intensity
- How intensity improves performance
